Job Responsibilities:
1. To develop and manage the local compliance helpdesk;
2. To implement the process and requirements in relation to compliance topics, such as anti-corruption, business and human rights protection, anti-money laundering, etc.;
3. To regularly update the new laws and regulations in relation to compliance management and related compliance topics, prepare newsletters regarding development of compliance regime, and draft compliance communication materials;
4. To coordinate and implement compliance training, including planning and implementation (e.g., training materials update, including regular training and new employee on-boarding training, digital platform maintenance);
5. To support the compliance team to manage the compliance helpdesk in terms of compliance-related questions, e.g., to implement compliance risk assessment, to perform business partner due diligence, etc.; and
6. To support the compliance team to fulfil other compliance tasks upon request.
Requirements:
1. A master’s degree from top university recognized in China or internationally, with a major in law or compliance.
2. Admission to the PRC bar is a must.
3. 3-5 years’ experience in broad-based commercial legal and compliance matters in a top-tier law firm or as an in-house lawyer of a multinational company, working experiences related to automotive industries is a good plus.
4. legal analytical thinking skills and practice of law in the PRC
5. Possess know-how within the industry, experience in the implementation of compliance management systems are good pluses.
6. Know-how of GRC tools or other compliance monitoring tools is a good plus.
7. Business fluent in English and ability to develop and comment on highly and complex legal documents (e.g. administrative penalty decisions) in English
