Job Description

Job Overview:

The Project Lead, Technical Division, is a senior role responsible for managing key projects within Porsche China’s Technical Division. Reporting to the Vice President, this role ensures the timely, budget-conscious delivery of strategic initiatives, including but not limited with e.g. China-specific L2++ ADAS solutions.

The role supports Porsche’s growth and technology leadership in China by leading complex projects aligned with corporate strategy. The Project Lead acts as a primary interface among local and HQ R&D, local manufacturing, senior management, and external partners to ensure project success and long-term competitiveness.


Job Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment (40%)

a. Lead planning and execution of key initiatives, aligning with corporate strategy.

b. Facilitate collaboration across R&D, manufacturing, and external partners.

c. Monitor progress, adjust plans, and optimize outcomes proactively.

2. Stakeholder Management & Communication (25%)

a. Act as the main interface for internal and external stakeholders, including HQ R&D and top management.

b. Ensure clear communication, expectation management, and decision support.

c. Prioritize resources and projects for maximum strategic impact.

3. Team & Knowledge Leadership (15%)

a. Guide project teams, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.

b. Establish knowledge-sharing platforms to institutionalize learnings.

4. Technology & Innovation Oversight (15%)

a. Oversee the implementation of critical technology projects, such as ADAS solutions.

b. Ensure quality, timeline, and budget adherence, integrating new tech into Porsche’s portfolio.

5. Executive Support & Risk Management (5%)

a. Support the VP in strategic planning, reporting, and risk mitigation.

b. Escalate and resolve critical project issues to ensure success.


Requirements:

1. Master’s degree, majoring in Automotive / Electrical / Information / Computer Science Technology and other engineering majors.

2. At least 5 years R&D related experience in ADAS field, having great knowledge about ADAS System (incl. ECU and sensors), and the development process.

3. Minimum 5 years as project manager, leading L2++SOP projects.

4. Good knowledge in VW Konzern, KPM, System42, etc. Codebeamer, JIRA, Confluence, other PM related tools.

5. Fluent in English (Germany language is a plus) and Good MS Office skills.

Desire Competency:

1. Expertise in ADAS Systems: Deep knowledge of ECU, sensors, development processes, and vehicle/cloud integration, with experience in VW PPE platforms preferred.

2. Validation & Testing: Strong understanding of testing and validation from components to full vehicle, focusing on L2++ ADAS.

3. Project Leadership in L2++: Proven experience leading SOP projects with a solid grasp of diverse technical solutions.

4. Project Management Skills: Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and cross-functional leadership.

5. Strategic & Collaborative Mindset: Strong stakeholder management, proactive problem-solving, and leadership to foster high-performance teams.
