Job Overview:

The main focus is the development of backend solutions in the charging ecosystem. Additionally, vehicle-related testing activities and standardization work complement the scope. The vehicle-related tasks include the organisation and testing of functions such as auto charge, including analysis and reporting to stakeholders. The backend-related task focuses on supporting the backend architecture. The aim is to strengthen cross-brand and cross-country collaboration, e.g. conceptualisation and implementation. At the same time, insights into the local market are to be provided. It is important for both scopes to be a link between the different teams and connect relevant partners.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Contractor Management: Oversee and steer contractors in developing and maintaining the required software systems (focus on backend) for charging services and functions. Ensure that contractors meet project requirements and deadlines. (30%)

2. Software Solution Development: Contribute to the conceptualization, documentation, and evaluation of software solutions. Collaborate on joint development projects with relevant counterparts in PAG, VW, Audi, and Cariad across Europe and China. (10%)

3. Local Collaboration: Facilitate cooperation and conduct workshops with local companies that develop solutions for charging services and functions. Ensure alignment and integration of local solutions with broader project objectives. (20%)

4. Reporting and Communication: Report to the function owner and management, providing regular updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions. Ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization. (20%)

5. Support other Charging teams: Partially support other work streams within charging team, including vehicle testing (public charging test drives, function-specific tests) and national charging standardization related topics. . (20%)

Requirements:

1. Master’s degree, major in Engineering preferred Computer Science/Electrical Engineering

2. Above 5 years working experiences as IT product owner, IT project manager, software architect or software engineer, good knowledge about Web Applications and Backends, charging services and their backends.

3. Experience in leading the development of IT systems.

4. Experienced in data intensive disturbed systems (Backends). Java, Java Springboot, REST interfaces, synchronous and asynchronous (KAFKA etc.) interfaces

5. Proficient in Atlassian suite, MS Office software

6. Fluent in English, Germany is a plus.
